Call for sign up to the National Vaccine Registry
03/02/2021
NHS researchers across the North East, Cumbria, Yorkshire and Humber regions are working together to help find vaccines for COVID-19.
They are recruiting now for the next stage of clinical trials to help this research and it is important they include as many people as possible from all backgrounds, communities and ages.
It is important that clinical trials into a number of other COVID-19 vaccines continue. Different vaccines work in different ways and they still need to collect important information about which vaccines work best, and are best for different groups of people, and on exactly how effective they are at, for example, preventing severe infection, preventing infection as a whole, preventing transmission etc. They also need information on matters such as the best way to use vaccines, the number of doses, and to check long term that there are no safety concerns.
NIHR Clinical Research Network North East and North Cumbria has put together an animation about how you can help this research by signing up to the National Vaccine Registry.
