Safeguarding issues

If you think someone is in immediate danger or has a medical emergency, call 999.

If you suspect someone is being physically, sexually, financially or psychologically abused:

For Adults – telephone the Council’s Safeguarding Adults Team on 0191 561 8936 or 0191 561 8934 (Available 8.30am - 5.15pm  Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 4.45 Friday)  
For concerns out of hours, weekends and Bank holidays please call the Duty Social Worker on 0191 520 5550.

For children or a young person
 – telephone  Sunderland Together for Children  on 0191 520 5560.
