Newly developed integrated care strategy
The North East and North Cumbria Health & Care Partnership have launched an ambitious new health & care plan for the local region.
The Better Health and Wellbeing for All strategy aims to:
- Reduce the life expectancy gap between our region and the rest of England.
- Promote fairer outcomes for all.
- Ensure everyone has access to high-quality services regardless of where they live.
- Help ensure our children have the best start in life.
Back in January our North East and North Cumbria Healthwatch Network representative on the Integrated Care Board, David Thompson, was asked to share his views on the recently developed integrated care strategy, why he feels it is important to have a strategy and what he believed would be the challenges and opportunities within the strategy.
David was able to paint a realistic picture on the current landscape, and what Healthwatch is doing to ensure Public and Patient voice is being heard at all levels of the Integrated Care Board.
