Support for people with memory difficulties or dementia

Support available in Sunderland for people experiencing memory difficulties or dementia and their carers
Front cover of the report

Working with local carers and organisations to improve the local information available to the people of Sunderland.

During our engagement, we heard from local carers about some of their experiences when supporting their loved ones with dementia. They expressed concerns about the lack of information available on local support services following their family members’ diagnoses. Many felt unsure about where to go for help and were not aware of the available resources.

In response to this need, we collaborated with local carers and other local partners to create this booklet; ‘Support available for people experiencing memory difficulties or dementia in Sunderland’.  This booklet offers key support information for people with memory difficulties and those living with dementia and their carers.

If you are a member of the public and would like a printed copy, please let us know. (Please note we have limited supplies).
