Are you or your family member / friend receiving care in the home? We want to hear from you.

What we are doing

Working in partnership with the local commissioning team at Sunderland City Council, who are responsible for domiciliary care across the city we will be undertaking some service user engagement to gather people’s views of the service provided.  We will do this via two dedicated surveys (one for services users and one for family and friends of service users), both of which have been designed in partnership with the local commissioning team.  In order to contact those receiving domiciliary care the commissioning team will be providing Healthwatch staff with a list of service users (10% of all domiciliary care recipients within the city). We will contact and support these individuals and their family and friends with the completion of the survey or alternatively people will be invited to complete the survey themselves via a paper or online survey.  The engagement will take place during October, November and into December 2022.

What we want to achieve

By you providing feedback we hope to find out:

  • Feelings about care and support services and what is valued about them
  • Opinions on how services could be better or different in the future
  • Thoughts on what makes a good care and support service

How do I give my feedback?

There are two ways you can give us your feedback.  As a service user or as a family member/friend, please click on the appropriate survey below:

Service user survey

Family member/friend survey

If you need support to complete either of the surveys or would like a paper copy please contact us

The closing date for the survey is 10th December 2022.
