Wendy and Natalie from our Engagement Team went along to Grangewood Surgery in Shiny Row on 12th April to present GP, Dr Heather Kift with her Healthwatch Sunderland Star Award.
Dr Kift was nominated by one of her patients, who said:
“Dr Kift showed real compassion when she visited me at home recently, taking the time to listen to my concerns about my health as I was feeling anxious and dealt with the matter straight away rather than trying to arrange a member of the nursing team to visit which would potentially delay any further tests. Thank you, Doctor.”
Dr Kift was delighted with the award and said:
"It was a lovely surprise to receive the Star Award. Thank you to one of our patients for taking the time to give this feedback, knowing that what we do has made a difference is very gratifying”.
