Menopause and Me is a psychoeducational group delivered by two Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners from Sunderland Talking Therapies. The group is specifically focused on helping service users to better understand the relationship between female hormonal changes linked to perimenopause and menopause and mental health and manage their current difficulties more effectively. The group runs over 4 weeks and will introduce a range of interventions using the principles of Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Each session is 1 hour long with a short break in the middle.

Who can attend?

This course is for anyone at any point on their menopause journey. Everyone who attends needs an initial referral to Sunderland Talking Therapies and a brief assessment. You can access information on how to refer via the following website:

Attendees are more than welcome to bring along 1 friend, family member or carer. Sometimes this helps people feel more comfortable, particularly when coming along to the first session.

Attendance can be as a standalone treatment or alongside another treatment.

When is the course taking place?

The course will run on Friday afternoons, 12:30 – 13:30, at Rosewood Clinic, Hopewood Park, Ryhope.
