A tour of Sunderland sexual health clinic
Volunteers from our young people's project, Youthwatch, visited the sexual health clinic as part of the work in March 2022, that involves them supporting public health to ensure that the service is young people friendly.
The volunteers spoke to staff and had a tour of the clinic and will be including the observations made on the visit into a mini report with recommendations for service improvement.
A meeting with the Sexual Health Outreach Lead
Healthwatch Sunderland Engagement Co-ordinator, Anna and volunteers from Youthwatch met with Dave Messenger, Sexual Health Outreach Lead, in February 2022 to discuss the next steps in supporting the evaluation of the city’s sexual health services.
Plans are now in place to shadow Dave in some of the work he delivers in schools and a visit to the sexual health clinic will be taking place very soon.
The group are looking forward to getting involved in seeing how the service operates and using their insight to help with the evaluation.
