During 2022 we carried out a project around self-care, where young people from around the city, including our Youthwatch volunteers shared what self-care means to them and the top tips they would give to others when it came to looking after themselves.

We carried out awareness of self-care in several young people’s groups, where discussions were facilitated by our Youthwatch volunteers.  In addition, other young people also participated and kindly shared their views which were captured as a short video.

Within the videos some of the top tips young people shared included:

  • Spend time with friends.

  • Do things that motivate you.

  • Sleep well

  • Love and take care of yourself.

  • Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.

  • Don’t follow the crowd.

  • Have fun!
