New NHS England guidelines - You and Your General Practice (YYGP)

The NHS has launched new guidelines on what to expect from your GP and how to use their services, and they would like your feedback.

As of the 1st of October, the NHS has launched a new set of guidelines called You and Your General Practice.  You and Your General Practice (YYGP) describes what practices and patients can expect of each other and has been developed to help patients get the best from their GP team.

YYGP also sets out how patients and/or their representatives can provide feedback or raise concerns about their GP practice. All GP practices will have a link to the YYGP information on their website from the 1st October 2025, on the practice website home page.

If you have feedback on the YYGP guidelines, you can let the NHS know what you think via this online survey. The NHS cannot respond directly to feedback given via the online survey. If you require a response to your feedback, you can find a list of other contacts on the same page.

If you want to give feedback or raise a concern, you can also ask to speak to your practice manager, or if preferred, you can also contact us in confidence and anonymously.
